Based on the action plan "Unmanned Aerial Systems and Innovative Aviation Concepts", the federal and state governments are jointly developing clear, uniform and comprehensible framework conditions to enable the safe operation of unmanned aerial vehicles. On 27.06.22, the Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV) published the document "Common Principles of the Federal Government and the States for the Operation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles".
The Common Principles concern the granting of permission to operate unmanned aerial vehicles. In this regard, the document contains explanations on the responsibilities of the aviation authorities, uniform requirements for issuing permits, and definitions of key terms in this context (german only).
